Midweek Lenten Services Recap

The theme for our mid-week services during Lent was “Lead Me, Lord.” Each week, we gathered for a simple supper followed by a worship service. Celtic Band Coming to Faith

Faith is excited to welcome the Celtic band, Points of Roguery, on Sunday, March 2, for a freewill offering concert at 7 p.m. They will also be providing music for our morning worship services.Poins of Roguery

Points of Roguery have been playing both nationally and internationally since 2007, formed by Faith Lutheran musician Julia Brundage.  They have played for President Obama and President George W. Bush, as well as many high ranking military officials.  In 2010, they deployed to the war zones to entertain our troops, coalition troops, and played shows in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan.  They’ve shared concert venues such as DAR Constitution Hall and the Strathmore with both Ronan Tynan and the Rogues.

A mix of stunning 4 part vocals and rousing traditional Irish instrumental music will put you in the mood for a great St. Patrick’s Day! Please join us!

Bishop Medardo Gómez to Speak at Faith

Bishop Gómez, Bishop of the Lutheran Church of El Salvador, will be presenting a seminar at Faith Lutheran Church (3313 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201) on Saturday, January 25, 9 a.m. – Noon.  Bishop Gómez will speak about his experiences during the Salvadoran Civil War that shaped his “theology of life,” and on today’s migration challenges. The seminar is free, but registration is requested. A free-will offering will be collected to support the Salvadoran Lutheran Church.  For more details, click here.
