Families of Faith

Launched in 2011, Families of Faith is a ministry geared toward families with children who are elementary school-age or younger.

Throughout the year, there will be six to eight events for parents and young children. Join us for these upcoming events:

November 5, 2011 – Novemberfest!
From 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Families of Faith will be enjoying delicious brats directly from Wisconsin and entertainment for the kids. Please bring a side dish or salad to share, along with a non-perishable food item for AFAC. To RSVP, contact Kristin Litterst.

November 12, 2011 – Volunteering for the Bagged Meal Program
1 p.m. – Bagged Meal Prep
5:30 p.m. – Meal distribution

This important ministry helps provide food to Arlington’s homeless population all year long, with a different community group serving meals virtually every day. Volunteers meet at Faith to assemble and package meals, which are later loaded into cars and vans and delivered to several distribution sites.  Even preschoolers can help with the meal preparation, so this is a great opportunity to volunteer as a family.
